Ingestion

Many essential oils can be taken internally as dietary supplements. (Warning: some countries do not encourage taking essential oils internally. It is imperative that they are 100% pure therapeutic essential oils. – Consult a Natural Health Practitioner when in doubt.) Some people put 1-3 drops in their drinking water, others use cold Ningxia Red or other juices.
If you prefer to swallow a capsule, you may fill one with an eyedropper.

Always drink more water when using essential oils because they can accelerate the detoxification process in the body. If you are not drinking adequate amounts of fluids, the toxins could recirculate, causing nausea, headaches, etc.

Therapeutic-grade essential oils are powerful, natural, healing substances that work extremely well with the body’s own defenses to solve problems. However, they are not drugs, and they may not always work in seconds, or even minutes. Essential oils will enhance and speed up the benefits of dietary supplements, but it is still a “natural” process. Sometimes it can take hours or even days to see the improvement.

• Capsule: Use a clean medicine dropper to fill the larger half of an empty “00” gelatin capsule halfway with oil. Then fill the remainder with V-6 Vegetable Oil Complex or a high-quality, cold-pressed, vegetable oil; put the other half of the gel cap on, and swallow.
If your hand is steady, you can simple hold the bottle and let the oil drip from the bottle into the capsule. Take the capsule immediately, as it will become soft quickly, making it hard to pick up.
• Dosages: There are two sizes of capsules: (1) a “00” size capsule holds 400 mg, and (2) a “0” size capsule holds 200 mg.
The “00” size capsule is easier to use because it is bigger, there is less chance of spilling, and you can fill it with whatever amount you want. If the “00” is not available, then use the “0” size. You just have to be more careful when filling, and you have to swallow more capsules.
